You remember it was one of Dad’s favourite books. I think that’s why it came to my mind today.
That could be my boat, actually. And I have taken the NB Nota Bene up the Thames to Oxford, although not recently. The Wind in the Willows has pride of place on my (necessarily limited) bookshelves.
I keep thinking of your boat, Roberta, every time I see a narrowboat!
I lived in Oxford for six months and it was the most phenomenal place to set out for a walk. Thanks for reminding of so many days spent in spots like this!
